New shows, future plans, and You Are The Alien!

The past few weeks have been busy for “3” front man Joey Eppard. Not only has he been busy filling orders for his new live dvd and playing lots of shows in the upstate area, but last week Joey performed along side some big names, including John Medeski, Natalie Merchant, Amy Helm, Jack DeJohnette, Gail Ann Dorsey, Jerry Marotta, Marco Benevento, Rachel Yamagata, Tracy Bonham, Jeremy Bernstein, Dan Littleton, Larry Grenadier, Rufus Cappadocia, Simi Stone and many more in a performance called “We Shall Not Be Moved” an evening of spirituals to benefit Frack Action. Fracking is bad news, and the wrong direction for New York, or anywhere else its being proposed. Learn more at Joey had this to say: “It was an incredible evening of music. I was so honored to be a part of it! Getting to sing “A Change Is Gonna Come” as well as “Love’s In Need Of Love Today” was truly living the dream for me. I left there with my heart brimming with inspiration.”

And on that inspirational note, “3” has begun writing for their new record. Joey says; “We’ll be ready to record sooner than you think. As soon as we got to playing, new material just began to flow. We’ll have no shortage of songs for this. We’re thinking of calling the record “You Are The Alien” as that song is a definite for this album and we can already envision the cover. It will be our first release available on Vinyl, and in mono or stereo versions. We will most likely be running a kickstarter campaign to raise funds to make this our first DIY record to date! The drive will also help us secure funding to be able to better service our frustrated fans around the globe who are in dire need of a live “3” performance in their area!

“3” will also be joining our friends SIOS to play Maxwell’s in New Jersey for the first time in years. The show will be early, starting at 7pm, May 4th, and we will welcome all ages! Advance tickets are only $10, but day of show will be $20! so get your tickets now before they’re gone!

“To those friends and fans outside my local touring zone, I highly recommend picking up this dvd. Its the next best thing to having me play a show right in your living room! I am working on some tour dates though and will keep you posted!” – Joey
